Lottery player wins huge prize — then does ‘little dance’ outside before going to work
An Iowa man celebrated a big win with a “little dance” after buying a winning lottery ticket.
Allen Stern won $10,000 on a Mega Millions ticket for the July 5 drawing, according to a July 9 news release from the Iowa Lottery.
Stern celebrated in the parking lot of a grocery store.
“I got out of my truck, did a little dance, and went into work,” he said.
Stern runs a bar and restaurant.
He bought the winning ticket at a Hy-Vee supermarket in Ankeny and matched four of the first five numbers, lottery officials said.
Ankeny is about a 15-mile drive north of Des Moines.
