Rideshare driver takes chance on another lottery game. It led to ‘shock of a lifetime’
A rideshare driver had to switch up his lottery game plans in Maryland.
But it ended up winning him $100,000.
The man from Severn stopped at a bar in Odenton to play Pick 4, the Maryland Lottery said in a May 14 news release.
He wanted to use the numbers 1212, but the number was sold out, lottery officials said.
So instead, he bought two Pick 5 games and played the numbers 12123.
Lottery officials said he checked the tickets the next morning, and that’s when he had “the shock of a lifetime.”
He had won $50,000 on both tickets, totaling $100,00, the lottery office said.
Now, he wants to use the money to buy a new home and put the rest into savings.
Odenton is about a 20-mile drive south from Baltimore.
