Color explosion? The most expensive home for sale in Boston is really intense. See it
A home for sale in Boston, Massachusetts, will stop you dead in your tracks thanks to it’s bright, Skittles-like interior — and its hefty price tag.
130 Commonwealth Avenue happens to be the most expensive house on the Bean Town market for good reason. The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom residence — which is listed for a whopping $29.9 million — is a technicolor and vibrant throwback when it comes to the splashes of electric colored paint throughout its 10,000-square-feet interior.
It’s owned by capital investor Kevin Starr, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post reported.
The entire home is an intense — and stylish — trip.
“The interior design skillfully merges classic architectural details such as ornate moldings, intricate woodwork, cathedral ceilings, five fireplaces with bold modern touches,” the listing on Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty says.
“A limestone facade invites you into a lavish parlor level, complete with a grand reception hall, a library adorned with black oak paneling and a temperature-controlled wine room. The luxurious living room features Juliet balconies that offer stunning views over the iconic Commonwealth Mall.”
Features, per the listing, include:
Roof deck
Radiant views
Gym
Elevator
Garage parking
Designer Eric Roseff said Starr wanted him to undergo a renovation project after he bought the home in 2015, the Wall Street Journal noted.
“His vibe from the beginning was the feel of a boutique hotel,” Roseff said to the Wall Street Journal. “He likes a little bit of Miami thrown in, a little bit of Vegas thrown in.”
The listing is held by Will Montero.
