A roaming cow ended up in a bog, trapped in mud up to its neck, an Oregon video shows.

Its owner discovered the farm animal and called for help April 21 in Columbia County, the Mist-Birkenfeld Rural Fire Protection District said in a Facebook post.

Firefighters from multiple departments rushed to save the animal using “special animal technical rescue equipment and training,” fire officials said.

Rescuers placed straps around the cow’s upper body and near its hind legs.

An 11-second video clip then shows a dozen firefighters using their strength to pull the animal out of the mud.

They were able to free the cow, which was covered in mud from head to toe.

Columbia County is in northwestern Oregon.

“We are so glad this call had a good outcome,” the fire department said.

This isn’t the first time a cow has ended up stuck in mud.

A mudslide nearly buried a cow Feb. 12 in Santa Barbara County, California, McClatchy News reported.

Firefighters worked for five hours to free it.
