An investigation is underway after a Washington woman’s body was found near an Oregon river, according to a sheriff’s office.

Charity Lynn Perry of Longview was found dead in Ainsworth State Park inside a culvert near the Columbia River on Monday, April 24, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said in an April 27 news release.

The sheriff’s office said her death is considered “suspicious.”

Prior to her death, she was last known to frequent downtown Portland, deputies said.

Anyone with information about Perry or her death is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 503-988-0560.

Ainsworth State Park is about 35 miles northeast of Portland.
