Lost pig named Elvis escapes cold with ride home in warm police car, Alaska cops say
Concerned callers told Alaska police that a forlorn pig “looked cold” standing beside a snow-covered road.
When Anchorage police found the lost hog on Monday, Feb 13, they decided to give him a warm ride home in a patrol car, a Facebook post reported.
“We’re all familiar with refrigerated bacon, we just never thought we’d respond to a call for service related to that topic,” police wrote.
Police discovered the “portly dude” was quite friendly.
“You’ll be happy to know he has been reunited with his family and all is well,” police wrote.
Police say the “best part” of the story is the pig’s name: Elvis Pigsley.
One year ago, Anchorage police returned a lost turkey home after it was found trying to break into a gas station mini-mart, the Facebook post said.
