Pirate ship that’s a ‘tiny house on water’ is now an Airbnb in Virginia. Take a look
A pirate ship that went on the market earlier in 2022 and looked like something out of “The Goonies” is now a short-term vacation rental in Callao, Virginia.
It’s called The Jolly Lodger and it can be a fun family adventure for $292 per night, the listing on Airbnb notes.
“Arrrrrrrgh! Just in time for Halloween, stay in comfort on a fully decorated pirate ship! Docked in paradise in Callao, VA the ship features two bedrooms and 1.5 camping bathrooms, working kitchen and upscale linens,” the listing says.
“On site is a private bath house and laundry room, kayaks, outdoor games and picnic/grill area!”
Features inside the ship include:
One queen and one full bed
Toiletries
Games and books
SmartTV
There’s a caveat for those who are claustrophobic in small spaces, however.
“The home is best thought of as a ‘tiny house on water,’” the listing says. “If you’re not comfortable stepping into/off of a boat, walking on narrow passageways, sleeping in small spaces, or using a camping toilet (or walking 100 feet to a bath house), you may prefer to stay in our main house on the property.”
In August it was announced that the ship was selling for $49,000 and had “hundreds of offers from as far away as Australia,” the Washingtonian reported.
Callao is about 65 miles northeast of Richmond.
