Disneyland is bringing back this popular way to visit after suspension, officials say
Disney Parks is resuming guided tours of Disneyland and Disney Resort after they were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Disneyland’s website, the park is offering two tours: “Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour’‘ and “Walt’s Main Street Story Tour.”
The “Holiday Time at Disneyland Resort Guided Tour”is a two-and-a-half-hour walking tour that showcases “favorite Disneyland holiday traditions from around the world”. The tour includes “reserved viewing for ‘A Christmas Fantasy Parade, “ according to the website. Tickets for the tour are $110 per person over age 3.
The “Walt’s Main Street Story Tour” runs about 90 minutes on foot and shows hidden details throughout the park and trivia about the park’s history, officials said. Included is a visit to Walt Disney’s apartment “high above the Disneyland Fire Station in Town Square.” Tickets for the tour are $160 each.
To take one of the tours, you have to also buy a park ticket. Prices vary.
Disneyland closed for 13 months during the Coronavirus pandemic, according to VOA News. Anaheim, California saw a $109 million deficit due to pandemic-related closures of the park, hotels and shops in the area. The park reopened April 30.
Anaheim is about 30 miles south of Los Angeles.
