When a Virginia man scratched off a winning lottery ticket, he first thought he won $20,000. It was a great prize.

It wasn’t until he looked again that he realized his win was much, much bigger, lottery officials said.

Jose Rolando Gramajo Rodas won $200,000 in the 50X the Money scratch-off game, according to a Sept. 6 Virginia Lottery news release.

When the Falls Church man realized how big his prize was as he sat in his car, he told lottery officials he was stunned.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he said.

Rodas bought his lucky ticket while getting gas at a 7-Eleven in Falls Church, according to the release.

Falls Church is about 5 miles west of Arlington.
