A 70-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash on a Louisiana highway, troopers said.

Robert D. Reich of Forest Hill was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson south along Louisiana Highway 107 near the Louisiana Highway 115 Cutoff Road on Aug. 28, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police.

Reich then veered across the center lanes of the highway into oncoming traffic and hit a 2021 Ford F-150 head-on, the release said.

Reich, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, and both the driver and passenger in the truck were uninjured, according to the release. Investigators are still determining why Reich veered into the northbound lanes of the highway.
