A Hollywood producer and writer is accused of posing as a photographer to lure women to his home to sexually assault them, officials said.

Eric Weinberg, who was a co-executive producer of “Scrubs,” was arrested Thursday, July 14 at his home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.

Information for Weinberg’s attorney was not immediately available, LAPD told McClatchy News over the phone on Friday, July 15.

Weinberg’s arrest stems from sexual assaults reported in Los Angeles between 2012 and 2019, police said.

Police say Weingberg approached women in their 20s and 30s in public spaces, like grocery stores and coffee shops. He told the women he was a photographer to coordinate photo shoots with them at his home where he would sexually assault them.

Weinberg is facing several sexual assault charges, including rape, police said. His bail is set at $3.2 million.

Police said they believe there may potentially be additional victims dating back to the 1990s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 323-561-3272.

Weinberg was also the producer and writer on shows including “Californication,” “Anger Management” and “Politically Incorrect,” according to IMDB. He was nominated for five Primetime Emmys.
