Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter escaped a fatal fire in California that killed one person.

Firefighters responded to the blaze before 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, in Hollywood, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

A two-story building was on fire and smoke was visible from the structure, fire officials said.

Aimee Osbourne had been working with a producer inside a recording studio in the building when the fire ignited, her mother said on Instagram.

One person died in the fire, officials said.

“It is utterly heartbreaking that someone lost their life today in this fire & we are sending our prayers to this person & their family,” Sharon Osbourne said in the post.

Fire officials said 78 firefighters fought the flames for 51 minutes.

“This was a very challenging fire,” Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Erik Scott told KABC-TV. “It was very compartmentalized inside because there were so many separate different recording studios. You had double dry wall, you had insulation, you had soundproofing that really held in the heat. It was an extremely hot fire. Zero visibility. So hot, that it burned through the floor on the first floor.”

Sharon Osbourne said she wanted buildings like the one her daughter was in to be better regulated for fires.

“This building was a creative hub for music in Hollywood, a space that should have been regulated for fire code,” she said. “Producers, musicians, mixers & artists also lost all of their equipment.”

Aimee Osbourne, 38, is Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s oldest child. Her siblings are Kelly and Jack.

She is a singer under the stage name ARO, and she’s an English actor.
