‘Friends’ Airbnb makes you feel ‘you’re at Central Perk.’ Even though it’s in Florida
A special vacation rental in Tampa, Florida, has every intention of being “there for you” when you’re looking to get away from it all. A “Friends” themed Airbnb is now open and accepting guests for a trip down memory lane.
Sure, the show went off the air in 2004 and the cast shared their last hugs with the HBO Max reunion special in 2021, but this special house will help you relive all the laughs.
“Welcome FRIENDS! This Airbnb will transport you into the world of the smash hit TV show,” the listing on Airbnb says. “With tons of replica items, memorabilia, you’ll feel at times like you’re at Central Perk, Monica’s, or Joey and Chandler’s.”
The owner and superhost, Frank Albert, is a “diehard” fan of the show and has made sure that guests will be satisfied with their stay, Fox 13 reports.
“Pretty much all of the artwork is either replicas from the show or memorabilia that I think a lot of fans will appreciate when they walk through it,” Albert told Fox.
Per the photos in the listing, the bungalow is superbly whimsical with trinkets from the show — from the light purple paint that made Monica and Rachel’s apartment stand out, to the foosball table that was tucked neatly away at Joey and Chandler’s.
It’s all there — for $267 per night.
“Friends” fever seems to be all over the real estate world lately. A townhouse in Houston that carried the same theme went on the market in March for $330,000, McClatchy News reported.
