Sometimes in life, you want to step away from all the seriousness and just have fun — and this house listed in Alcova, Wyoming for $1.5 million may just help melt away stress.
Mainly because parts of it look like a giant playground. Including this epic slide that appears to go from the patio area to the driveway below.
While the listing, held by Peter Greiner of Re/Max, appears to be rather vague, it’s clear through the photos that the four-bedroom, five-bathroom, 7,000-square-foot residence is “some work, all play.”
Not only does it appear ridiculously spacious with its high ceilings and somewhat open floorplan, but the neutral colors, with the occasional burst of navy blue splashed on doors, help make it feel much larger.
There also appears to be an elevator next to a spiral staircase in the foyer (or garage?) of the home.
But what really nabs the curiosity is the fact some of the bedrooms appear to have ladders leading...somewhere? Another room? Another dimension? Narnia?
Actually, it’s cuter.
“The ladders on the walls lead to little lofts for sleeping or kids to play in,” Greiner told McClatchy News.
The house managed to grab the attention of Zillow Gone Wild fans, who immediately either loved or hated the home, and who were also extremely curious about some aspects of it.
“I’ll be taking the slide to my car everyday,” another said.
“Could be fun going down that slide with a covered dish or casserole,” one person observed.
“Every room in this house just screams airport hangers to me,” another remarked.
“What’s with all the ladders up into the eaves?” one person asked.
“The builder’s favorite subject in school was ‘shapes.’” another joked.
“Looks like it was all set to be Airbnb,” one comment observed. “Little large for my liking but it’s really made for the views.”
“Who puts a urinal in their home?” someone asked. “The slide is cool...”
“I freaking love the elevator in the garage,” another remarked. “Best thing for transporting groceries.”
“A few renovations and it would be awesome!” one fan exclaimed. “The slide stays, btw!”
“Looks like a great home for either a plural family or those couples who has 19 kids+,” another observed.
And finally, someone said what we all were thinking...
“Every Christmas I’d recreate the scene from ‘A Christmas Story’ and kick my kids down the slide.”
Alcova is about 190 miles northwest of Cheyenne.
