Wendy’s new sandwiches pack sweet, spicy punch. Here’s when you can get them
Wendy’s newest menu items will bring both the heat and the sweet.
The national fast food chain is expanding its offerings to include two sandwiches that marry “the sweet taste of honey” with a “fiery habanero kick,” the company announced Feb. 2.
The new Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit breakfast sandwich and all-day Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich are set to land on menus nationwide Tuesday, Feb. 8, a Wendy’s spokesperson confirmed to McClatchy News. The new chicken biscuit is the first addition to Wendy’s breakfast menu since 2020, according to a company news release.
“Others may do chicken sandwiches, but at Wendy’s we actually craft chicken sandwiches with flavor,” Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said in a statement. “As the Queen of Spice, we’re constantly looking for new ways to upgrade our already famous spicy chicken sandwich, and our talented culinary team knew we could bring the Hot Honey trend to the table in a way no one else could.”
Breakfast lovers can spice up their mornings with the new chicken biscuit, which features an all-white meat fried chicken fillet drizzled with hot honey on a warm buttermilk biscuit, the release says.
The Hot Honey Chicken sandwich is available all day and packs just as much sweet heat. It includes an all-white meat chicken breast topped with pepper jack cheese, strips of applewood smoked bacon, crunchy pickles and hot honey, all sandwiched between two toasted buns.
Customers can order both sandwiches in-store, online or via the Wendy’s mobile app. Orders are also available for delivery with the Wendy’s App, Door Dash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and Postmates.
