Where is Codi Bigsby? Police ‘most interested in’ parents of missing Virginia boy

Police are now looking into the parents of a 4-year-old reported missing in Hampton, Virginia, this week, multiple news outlets report.
Codi Bigsby remains missing as of Tuesday, Feb. 1, after reportedly disappearing from his father’s home the day before.
Authorities are now “most interested in” Codi’s parents and confirmed there is a person of interest in the case, Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbot said at a Tuesday news conference streamed by WTKR.
The boy’s father reported him missing Jan. 31., telling police he last saw his son in their home around 2 a.m. But authorities said the evidence they have does not match what they’ve been told by the family, WAVY reported.
“We continue to speak to the people responsible for Codi’s safety,” Talbot told reporters on Tuesday. “They are still talking to us. They are still answering our questions. We still believe that they are the key to us finding out where he might be and what may have happened to him.”
Police also do not believe the boy was abducted or that he wandered away from home, according to WVEC. Authorities are now requesting the help of volunteers to aid in the ongoing search for Codi.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 4-year-old who went missing from his family’s home in Virginia overnight.
Codi Bigsby was last seen at his father’s home Monday, Jan. 31, at around 2 a.m., according to Hampton police. Officers arrived at the residence just after 9 a.m. on a report of a missing child.
Codi is described as a Black male standing 3 feet tall, police said. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing and Spider-Man flip-flops.
The search for Codi continued Monday afternoon as Hampton police, along with help from FBI officials, scoured the area near the Buckroe Point town homes and apartments, news outlets reported. Police said the family is cooperating with their investigation.
