Sure, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, that’s hit the real estate market for $180,000 looks perfectly normal on the outside, on the inside, it’s a whole other ballgame.
The 1,802-square-foot home has a strange allure in the living room that you don’t see everyday: A rock climbing wall.
While potential buyers might be attracted to the vaulted ceilings and heated hardwood floors, those who ache for adventure will be utterly fascinated by the idea of getting in some exercise while binge watching their favorite show or movie — hopefully it’s not “Cliffhanger.”
A person can burn as many as 900 calories climbing a rock wall for one hour, according to DailyBurn.com.
The home even has a substantially large deck off the back and a full basement that can “easily be finished for extra living space,” the listing on Zillow.com says.
The popular Facebook page Zillow Gone Wild was even intrigued with the idea of having a rock climbing wall inside a home.
“Finally!! The rock wall makes total sense,” one fan expressed. “Our outside good weather days are limited and this allows for year round exercise!”
“Put the remote at the top of the wall -- survival of the fittest,” another joked.
“You’ll be able to really see how dusty the top of the ceiling fan is!” one person exclaimed.
“Wow the kids would literally be climbing the walls,” another said.
“This house rocks...” was another obvious comment.
“This is the house of a single dad,” one observed.
“This house is great!” another exclaimed. “Definitely not what I expected from the outside.”
Cedar Rapids is around 120 miles from Des Moines, Iowa.
