79-year-old killed by man upset about how he parked at store, Wisconsin police say
A man was killed after a dispute over a parking spot at a home improvement store, Wisconsin police say.
Russel Paulson, 79, parked his vehicle at the Menards store in La Crosse, a city in western Wisconsin, on Friday afternoon, according to police.
Matthew Kinstler, 50, grew upset because he thought Paulson parked too close and a verbal dispute started, police said. The two men then got into a physical fight, which left Paulson badly injured, police said.
Paulson was rushed to a hospital, where he died from the injuries.
Kinstler was arrested at the scene and charged with substantial battery and disorderly conduct, police said. On Tuesday, he was booked into La Crosse County Jail on a charge of reckless homicide, according to records.
