James Bond ‘No Time to Die’ delayed due to coronavirus. What else is being impacted?

As the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread, infecting more than 101,000 people and killing more than 3,400 as of Friday evening, the virus has led to delays and cancellations of entertainment industry events.

It was announced on Wednesday that the 25th James Bond film, “No Time to Die,” has been delayed from an April 10th release date to November due to the outbreak, according to CNN.

“After careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of ‘No Time To Die’ will be postponed until November 2020,” the film’s Twitter account said on Wednesday.

In addition, the London Book Fair has been canceled out of fears of spreading the coronavirus, according to The New York Times. The Paris Book Fair, scheduled for later in March, has also been put on hold, the outlet reported.

The Ultra Music Festival in Miami also was canceled on Friday due to coronavirus, officials confirmed.

“We want to emphasize that this decision is not a cause for alarm or signal to panic,” Miami Mayor Francis Suarez said. “Rather we are doing this out of an abundance of caution.”

Austin, Texas’ South by Southwest festival has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns, officials confirmed.

“We are devastated to share this news with you. ‘The show must go on’ is in our DNA, and this is the first time in 34 years that the March event will not take place,” organizers said in a news release. “We are now working through the ramifications of this unprecedented situation.”

Facebook had already pulled out of SXSW, which was scheduled to begin March 13, according to CNN.

“Due to concerns related to coronavirus, our company and employees will not be participating in SXSW this year,” a Facebook spokesperson told CNN.

The Emerald City Comic Con, scheduled to take place March 12-15 in Seattle, has also been postponed, according to The Seattle Times.

“We have been closely monitoring the situation around the COVID-19 virus in Seattle, and, after many hours of conversation internally and consultation with local government officials and the tourism bureau, we have decided to move next week’s Emerald City Comic Con to Summer 2020 with date and detail announcement forthcoming,” the statement said. “We did everything that we could to run the event as planned, but ultimately, we are following the guidance of the local public health officials indicating that conventions should now be postponed.”
