Barber orders killing of two men after $4,000 of his pot was stolen, Texas cops say

A barber and a man who police say was forced to do his “dirty work” have been charged with killing two people on a Houston freeway last summer.

The barber, 25-year-old Jose Hernandez, and accused the gunman, 29-year-old Jonathan Aleman, were arrested and charged this week with capital murder, KHOU reported.

They are accused of shooting and killing two men who tried to rob them of drugs on Aug. 8, according to KHOU.

After police pulled him over last week, Aleman told officers about his role in the shootings on Interstate 10, according to KTRK.

“I made global news,” Aleman told police, according to the station. “It was on every news station.”

Two men, Bradley James Barker and Binel Gasery, went to Hernandez’ barber shop Aug. 8 to buy marijuana from him, according to The Houston Chronicle. Aleman was reportedly visiting the shop that day.

Barker and Gasery “pistol-whipped” Aleman during the drug deal and stole $4,000 worth of pot and cash from Hernandez, the newspaper said.

Aleman told police that Hernandez told him to do his “dirty work,” according to the Chronicle.

Aleman got in his car and chased Barker and Gasery down the interstate and crashed into their vehicle, KHOU reported.

He then got out of his vehicle and fired shots into the other car, according to KPRC.

Gasery and Barker, both of Gray, Louisiana, were found dead at the scene, according to HoumaToday.com.
