Road rage beating leaves a 68-year-old man with serious injuries, Missouri police say
A 68-year-old man was seriously injured after he was punched “numerous times” by a road rage driver, Missouri police say.
Bradley Jorden, 37, is accused of crashing his vehicle into a car driven on a highway by a couple Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson County, which is south of St. Louis, according to a news release. He continued driving after the collision, police say.
The wife followed Jorden’s vehicle to the parking lot of a business, police said. That’s when Jorden is accused of approaching the couple’s vehicle and repeatedly punching the man, police said.
The man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but they aren’t considered to be life-threatening, police said.
Bernita Swank said her husband has a “skull fracture, concussion and broken nose,” KMOV reported.
“The blood was horrible,” Swank told KMOV. “I thought he had just mutilated my husband’s face.”
Jorden was arrested shortly after the beating, according to the news release.
He spit in the face of a corrections officer while being booked into jail, police said.
Jorden is charged with felony assault and misdemeanor assault. He was in jail on $500,000 bond.
