3-year-old sexually assaulted by man inside McDonald’s restroom, Illinois police say
A man in Illinois was arrested Wednesday after police say he sexually assaulted a toddler in a McDonald’s restroom earlier this week.
On Monday morning, a witness at a Chicago McDonald’s called police after they saw a man drag a 3-year-old girl into a stall in the restroom, WBBM reported.
Police say that man sexually assaulted her, according to WGN. The young girl was taken to an area hospital for treatment, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
On Wednesday, police arrested Christopher Puente, 34, for an entirely different offense — refusing to leave a local business, according to WBBM.
Officers say they recognized Puente from photos shared in a community alert following the incident at McDonald’s, the Sun-Times reported.
He was arrested and charged with felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under 13-years old and misdemeanor criminal trespass, WGN reported.
