Flames consuming home stopped where the Bible verses started, Louisiana officials say

A Louisiana home was a complete loss after a massive fire Sunday, but fire officials found an act of divine intervention when they were able to enter the home.

The Livingston Parish Protection District No. 2, located in Springfield, said the owners had written Bible scriptures on the wall studs throughout the home. The fire stopped at the scriptures, the fire district said.

Among the Bible verses on the walls was Matthew 6:4, which states, “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Romans 12:12 was also written on the wall studs, according to a photo the fire district posted on Facebook. “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer,” the scripture reads.

No one was injured in the fire and the American Red Cross was notified to assist the family, the fire district said.

Dozens of people commented on the Facebook post expressing their thoughts on the wonder.

“Jesus was standing through the fire,” one woman said.

“That is amazing. Okay non-believers, how do you explain this? There is truly an Awesome God!!!” said another poster.
