Teen admits she poisoned her ex’s new girlfriend with antifreeze, Texas officials say

A 19-year-old woman who was arrested two years ago for spiking the drink of a classmate with antifreeze pleaded guilty to tampering with a consumer product last week, according to Comal County records.

Paige Jackson was sentenced to 10 years probation and 400 hours of community service, court records show. She was also ordered to write an apology.

Jackson, 17 at the time and a student at Smithson Valley School near San Antonio, placed antifreeze in the victim’s drink before school because she didn’t like that the girl was dating her ex-boyfriend, KENS5 reported.

Jackson reportedly “brought the other girl a so-called peace offering, tainted with the anti-freeze,” KABB/WOAI reported. Once the girl tasted the drink, she tasted something different.

“She tasted it and immediately knew there was something wrong with it. I believe she poured some of it out and there was a green tint to it,” Jennifer Smith, spokesperson for the Comal County Sheriff’s Department told KABB/WOAI.

Comal school district officials expelled Jackson after the incident, KENS5 said.

Jackson was released on bail in 2017 KABB/WOAI reported.
