Soldier beats his 2 children after taking LSD, Texas cops say
An El Paso father is accused of beating his children after taking drugs with two other people at his home, the El Paso Police Department said.
Police said they responded Friday to a home in the 4900 block of Marcella Santillana Street, where they found Zakary Frampton, 26, had “consumed LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) with two associates at his home.”
Officers found a 3-year-old boy with head injuries and a 7-year-old boy with “substantial injuries” to his face and body.
Frampton is accused of repeatedly punching his 7-year-old son in the face and throwing him against a kitchen island and hitting his 3-year-old boy and throwing him from room to room, according to police.
Police said both children were taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the 7-year-old remains hospitalized.
Frampton was arrested Saturday and charged on two counts of injury to a child with bond set at $550,000. He is an active sergeant in the U.S. Army, Army officials confirmed to KVIA7.
A neighbor told KVIA7 that residents also “caught him (Frampton) on their surveillance cameras running up and down the street naked.”
