Video shows woman attack customer for coughing near her at Texas gas station, cops say

The Houston Police Department is looking for two suspects involved in assaulting a woman while she was playing a slot machine, as seen in gas station surveillance footage obtained by the McClatchy news group.

Investigators say the assault took place Sept. 8 at the Valero gas station at 5722 Lockwood in Houston, Texas. Video shows the victim sitting at a slot machine beside a man and woman, and she told police she coughed.

The victim told police the woman sitting next to her began to yell at her because she coughed next to her.

Police say a disturbance ensued and the victim reportedly asked the gas station clerk if he could ask the pair to leave.

The clerk addressed the two when the female suspect grabbed the woman by her hair, video shows, threw her to the ground, and began punching and kicking the victim and hitting her with snacks within the store.

Police say, “the female suspect then grabbed the complainant’s purse, cash and cell phone and walked out of the store with the male suspect following.”

The suspects fled in a dark blue SUV.
