A North Texas Powerball player will take home $50,000 after matching four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball in the drawing on Saturday, June 7, lottery officials say.
The player was just one number away from the $44 million jackpot.
According to the Texas Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at a Chilly Mart in Grand Prairie, about 30 minutes away from Fort Worth.
More than 370,000 tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million, lottery officials say.
According to the Powerball website, the winning numbers were 31, 36, 43, 48 and 62 with a Powerball of 25. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
A player in Oregon won $1 million. Three players in Arizona, Massachusetts and Michigan also won $50,000 prizes in the Powerball drawing. The next drawing will be Monday night, June 9.
No one won the jackpot on Saturday. For Monday’s drawing, the estimated grand total of the Powerball jackpot is now $54 million with a cash value of $24.3 million.
