An Arlington resident has claimed a $7.5 million prize from a Texas lottery drawing earlier this month, the state lottery commission said on Wednesday.

The winner of the May 17 Texas Lotto drawing will receive 30 annual payments of $250,000 before a tax withholding.

The winner picked the six numbers that matched those that were drawn: 5, 13, 22, 29, 37, 48. The ticket was purchased at One World Grocery in Mansfield.

The winner, who asked the lottery commission to not release his or her name, plans to use the funds to retire and travel.

“I called my best friend, cried and wished my late wife was here to be a part of this,” the winner said, according to the lottery commission.
