Fort Worth rapper signed to Gucci Mane record label dies after time on life support
A Fort Worth rapper signed to Gucci Mane’s record label, 1017 Records, has died, Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV reported.
Enchanting, born as Channing Nicole Larry, died Tuesday. She was 26.
Her sister, Kay Jay, and collaborator Lil CJ Kasino confirmed her death on social media, WFAA reported. According to friends and family, Larry had been on life support before her death. A cause of death hasn’t been released.
Larry released her debut single “Monday” in 2019 under the name Enchanting and was shortly after signed to 1017 Records, according to WFAA.
In a statement on social media, Gucci Mane said, “So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant.”
Enchanting’s partner and fellow 1017 Records artist, who goes by JhonnieDamnD, posted videos of her and said that they “came up together, got rich together, we signed to 1017 together and I’m honored to spend your last moments of life with you... I love you.”
Enchanting’s most successful release was the 2020 single “No Luv,” which featured Big Scarr and Key Glock, according to WFAA. It was included on her full-length album “Luv Scarred / No Luv.”
