Sometimes even the hardest workers just need a little help.

Workers like Krystal, a single mother with two boys, 10-year-old Gregory and 7-yera-old Koby. She works long hours to care for them, along with taking care of her parents, who are both on disability with serious health issues that make it hard to tend to themselves.

“Most of the money I do make goes to bills, medication and things my family needs, so I don’t have much left over to get nice clothes and shoes for my boys. Koby usually gets his brother’s hand-me-downs,” she said.

That’s where the Goodfellows Fund can help. The Star-Telegram charity has been helping families like hers during the holidays for more than a hundred years.

This year they are providing just what Krystal needs, funding to buy clothing and shoes for her children. They are donating $50 gift cards to qualified families.

“This would help us out so much, and we would be grateful for whatever help we get,” she said.
