Mom struggling with health issues, living arrangements asks Goodfellows for help

Carla and her daughter have so many needs. Where does one start?

Because of financial difficulties they were living in a hotel. Then, just over a year ago Carla suffered a heart attack. Though she survived, a challenging life got harder.

Health issues made it difficult to keep a job. With no job there was no income, and thus an inability to pay rent.

“We got evicted a couple of months ago, and now are currently living with a friend. We lost most of our clothes moving around,” Carla said.

The Goodfellow Fund can help. The Star-Telegram charity has been helping families like hers during the holidays for more than a century.

This year the fund is providing $50 gift cards so parents like Carla can get their children some warm clothing or shoes.

“Getting help for her would relieve some stress,” Carla said.
