Nine people were injured in a wreck southeast of downtown Fort Worth on Saturday night, an ambulance official said. Six people were taken to area hospitals.

The accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. at U.S. 287 and Vickery Boulevard, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.

One adult suffered serious injuries and was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital. A child was also seriously injured and was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center, Zavadsky said. MedStar sent five ambulances to the scene.

“The other four were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries,” he said.

Three were treated at the scene and released, he added.

Zavadsky was not at the scene and didn’t know how many vehicles were involved in the accident, or what caused it.

A Fort Worth police spokesman did not have details immediately available.
