Thieves drive van through window, steal ATM at FWISD offices
Four masked thieves smashed through a window with a work van and then stole an ATM at the Fort Worth school district administration building Wednesday morning.
The break-in, which was caught on surveillance video, happened at 4:58 a.m. at the school district’s business office in the 100 block of North University Drive, district spokesman Clint Bond said. The suspects, who were wearing dark clothing, have not been arrested.
Bond said the suspects were driving a white or light-color Chevrolet work van. They backed the van through the business office’s glass door and window, and then loaded the ATM into the van.
“It all happened in about a minute,” Bond said.
