Fort Worth security guard shot, injured man who charged at him, police say
A man was shot once and wounded by a security guard at a Fort Worth apartment complex early Sunday, police said.
Police responded to a call about a shooting at 1:06 a.m. in the 800 block of Boca Hills Circle, Tamara Valle, Fort Worth police spokeswoman, said in an email. The suspect was involved in a domestic disturbance and is accused of assaulting his mother, Valle said.
The apartment complex security guard was injured while trying to intervene and used pepper spray on the suspect, who in turn charged the security guard. The guard shot once and injured the suspect, Valle said.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital in good condition, and faces multiple charges, Valle said.
Christopher Young, 46, faces charges of assault of a security officer and family violence, according to police records.
