“It’s pretty leisurely. It’s not a difficult trek,” he said. “It’s really neat to come back to the history of our city.”
Local historian and head tour guide Richard Selcer provides detailed information corresponding to the tour theme, Young said, and each tour guide has stories to add. Tours are limited to 150 people.

Get in shape with the high-intensity boot camp workout every Monday evening in Burnett Park. The class is a mix of cardio and muscle toning exercises, said Caleb Garcia, personal trainer and boot camp instructor from the Amon G. Carter Jr. Downtown YMCA. Participants run laps around the park and do box jumps during the hourlong sessions, Garcia said.
Participants must be at least 13 and should come ready to work out with appropriate clothes and water. Workouts can be modified one on one for those with restrictions, Garcia said.
