Homeless man found beaten to death in Fort Worth

The body of a homeless man who had clearly been beaten was found Wednesday in a wooded area east of downtown.

The body was discovered about 12:20 p.m. by a passerby near the 1800 block of Bomar Avenue.

“We believe that he might have been camping in the area,” homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman said.

There was obvious blunt force trauma to his head, Loughman said.

The man had not been identified as of Thursday evening, nor had any arrests been made, Loughman said. Deanna Boyd
