Robbers target woman, 70, outside west Fort Worth home
Police are searching for a couple who robbed a 70-year-old woman as she arrived at her daughter’s west Fort Worth home Sunday afternoon.
The victim was walking in the breezeway between the house and garage in the 3900 block of Floyd Drive when a man ran up from behind about 4:15 p.m. and snatched her brown leather purse from her shoulder, causing her pain, according to a police report.
The woman ran after the man, screaming at him to stop, but he jumped into the passenger side of a powder blue Ford Mustang driven by a woman and the pair drove away, the report said.
The man is described as black, in his late teens or early 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 160 pounds with an athletic build and short Afro. He was wearing a dark-colored long sleeved shirt and dark-colored shorts.
The driver is described as a black woman in her early 20s with straight hair covering part of her face. The Mustang is believed to have been a 2005 to 2009 model.
