Teen arrested in fatal Fort Worth shooting
A man was arrested Friday in connection with the shooting death last week of a Fort Worth woman.
Police said they responded at 3 a.m. April 24 to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Selene Street. They found Bianca Jimenez, 23, in the road with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injures at 7:52 a.m. according to the medical examiner’s website.
At the time, police said a suspect had been identified, but he wasn’t arrested until Friday.
On Friday, Joe Angel Lopez, 18, of Fort Worth, was booked into jail at about 5:30 p.m. in connection with the killing.
Police on Sunday did not provide any additional details.
Lopez did not have a criminal record in Tarrant County, according to Tarrant County criminal records.
He was in the Mansfield Jail Sunday in lieu of $30,000 bail.
