Fort Worth police searching for hit-and-run driver

A 60-year-old pedestrian was killed Thursday morning as he crossed East Berry Street, and police were searching for the hit-and-run driver.

Terry Proctor of Fort Worth was crossing in the 1500 block of East Berry Street shortly before 6 a.m. when he was struck by a black or blue four-door vehicle, a police report said.

Proctor was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. The cause and manner of his death was not posted late Thursday.
