Fort Worth bicyclist killed on North Freeway
A bicyclist killed near Interstate 35W during the weekend has been identified as Jacob Waganer, authorities said Sunday.
Waganer was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:17 a.m. Saturday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Sunday. He died from blunt force injuries to his head and neck, but the manner of death is pending, according to the website.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of the North Freeway.
A preliminary police report shows a red 2001 Ford CVC and a blue 2002 Lexus L43 were involved in the accident, but the report gave no details.
The medical examiner’s report indicated a motorist had left the scene.
Police on Sunday said they had no other details.
