Man found dead in south Fort Worth
Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in his 30s found under a bridge at Altamesa Boulevard and Hemphill Street in Wednesday night, according to Fort Worth police.
Detectives were at the scene at 7:23 p.m. police spokesman Sgt. Steve Enright wrote in an email. He said the victim was found on the ground with “apparent trauma to his upper body.”
No cause and manner of death had been determined by Thursday afternoon by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.
Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said they got the call at 6 p.m. and found the man dead off the bridge near the railroad tracks. —Monica S. Nagy
