Fort Worth crossing guard hit by car in front of school
A crossing guard suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning after he was hit by a car in front of Como Elementary School in west Fort Worth.
The accident occurred at 6:45 a.m. in the 4000 block of Horne Street, police said. The 69-year-old crossing guard was hit by a car turning north onto Horne. The woman driver stayed at the scene until police arrived.
The victim hadn’t yet started his guard duties, said Sgt. Steven Enright, a police spokesman. He was taken to Baylor All Saints Medical Center.
