Victim identified in Burleson fatal crash
The passenger killed in a pickup wreck on Interstate 35W last weekend has been identified as Autumn Rawlinson, officials said Tuesday.
The driver of the pickup, Paul McDonough, 47, of Cleburne, was critically injured in the wreck at Interstate 35W near Renfro Street on Sunday. His condition was not available Tuesday.
The accident was reported about 10 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Interstate 35W.
McDonough was driving a red 1994 GMC Sierra northbound on the highway when his vehicle collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado just ahead of him, according to police reports. Police had not determined what caused McDonough’s vehicle to hit the Silverado.
The Chevrolet veered into a guardrail and the GMC pickup spun into another guardrail and went over it. Rawlinson and McDonough were ejected from the pickup, authorities said.
Rawlinson, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. A hometown was not listed on the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website.
Police closed the northbound lanes of the highway for five hours as authorities investigated.
