Area meth conspirators sent to federal prison

Two “Fort Worth-area” men were sentenced to prison this week for their roles in a methamphetamine distribution ring in which 28 people have been convicted, the U.S. attorney’s office said in a news release.

Matthew Rutledge, 33, and Joel Prickett, 37, were sentenced to 27 years and 13 years, respectively, by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor, the release said.

Each pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine dating back to 2014, the release said.

No one in the office could be reached Thursday to provide further information. Monica S. Nagy
