Fort Worth man sentenced to more than 17 years for child porn

A man who emailed graphic pictures involving a young girl to others was sentenced to 17 1/2 years in federal prison Monday, the U.S. attorney’s office reported.

Erick Mayorga, 36, of Fort Worth admitted he used his Hotmail email account to distribute child pornography on Sept. 9, 2014, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth.

Mayorga knowingly sent pictures of a girl engaged in sexually explicit conduct with a man with Pokemon sheets visible in the background, the complaint stated.

In May 2015, FBI special agents searched Mayorga’s home in the 8700 block of Hunters Creek Drive after they found out he had sent someone in Florida child porn pictures with the line “Little girls are made to be daddy’s sex toys.”

He also used his email account to post advertisements soliciting others with a sexual interest on Craigslist.

Mayorga was indicted on one count of distribution of a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in June 2015.

He faced a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor.

The FBI investigated and Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Saleem prosecuted.
