Woman dies in East Loop 820 rollover, another in critical condition

One woman died on northbound East Loop 820 and another was in critical condition after they were ejected from their vehicle when it rolled over Sunday night, according to Fort Worth police and MedStar.

The accident occurred at 5:24 p.m. on northbound East Loop 820 and Ramey Avenue, police incident reports state.

Police dispatchers said two of the three women in the vehicle were ejected. Fort Worth police could not say what caused the crash.

One woman died at the scene, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said. Another woman was in critical condition, and a third was in serious condition, he said.

Two ambulances and a supervisor were at the scene to help the patients, Zavadsky said.

Police shut down northbound lanes of the highway as they investigated.

The woman who died will be identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner once her family has been notified. Monica S. Nagy
