Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting deaths of two robbery suspects in east Fort Worth over the weekend.

Ravon Colvert, 23, and Junaid Harris, 29, were pronounced dead at 10:47 p.m. Saturday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Colvert and Harris entered a building at 1912 Mitchell Boulevard, near U.S. 287, and “robbed numerous subjects that were inside the building,” said Sgt. Steven Enright, a police spokesman.

One of the people being robbed “produced a handgun and fired multiple times, striking the robbery suspects,” Enright said.

Both men died at the scene of gunshot wounds to the trunk, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No arrests have been made.

Colvert was previously charged in Tarrant County with two state jail felonies for possession of less than one gram of heroin and less than one gram of methamphetamine.

Harris had previously been charged with possession of 4-to-200 grams of cocaine, a prostitution-related offense, burglary of a vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon and criminal trespassing.
