Clear skies, warmer temps to follow windy weekend in DFW

The confusion about what to wear outside during this Texas December will not be clarified Monday.

After severe wind gusts up to 60 mph and nearly an inch of rain left North Texas gray and in the 50s Sunday, Monday calls for less layering, according to Jennifer Dunn, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 60s Monday with clear skies, she said.

The Metroplex will also feel a lot less windy.

Tuesday should also be in the upper 60s, with mostly clear skies and a small chance of showers, Dunn said.

Late Tuesday or early Wednesday will bring a cold front that will drop temperatures into the 50s for the high for the rest of the week.

The skies are expected to remain sunny after that.
