Woman killed in Fort Worth accident identified
A woman who died in a traffic accident in Fort Worth early Monday morning was identified Tuesday.
Amanda McCarey, 31, was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m., at the scene of a two-vehicle wreck between Oakland Boulevard and Beach Street on Interstate 30, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
McCarey’s passenger, another adult woman, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with critical injuries.
McCarey was ejected from her vehicle when it was struck from behind by a minivan. Police believe McCarey’s car had stalled in the roadway because of a previous accident.
