Consider Wednesday’s light rain and drizzle a tease.

The heavy stuff is on its way.

While there will be scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms on Thursday, a steady dose of rain-producing storms will take over Friday.

“Once it starts Friday it may be semi-continuous all the way through Saturday night,” said Joe Harris, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.

And coming with the rain will be a cold front that will drop temperatures into the mid-30s on Friday night.

Here’s a look at what’s in store, by the numbers:

“But it’s going to feel like 30 degrees and it’ll be wet,” Harris said.

“It’s going to be nasty weather,” Harris said. “Cold and wet.”
